Paste a YouTube URL and get the caption track as a searchable, timestamped transcript. It works on your own videos and on any public video that has captions. Every transcript records exactly where its text came from, because a transcript from a caption track and one from speech recognition are not the same artefact and should not look alike.
What it does
- Pulls captions from any public video with a caption track
- Transcribes uploaded audio where no caption track exists
- Accepts pasted SRT or VTT, and a bookmarklet for sending yourself a transcript from your own browser
- Gives timestamped and paragraph views, in-transcript search, and exports

What it costs
1 credits a pull, 1 a minute to transcribe audio, 6 to summarise.
What it cannot do
A video with no caption track at all has nothing to retrieve, and the import says so rather than charging you for an empty result. Auto-generated captions carry their own errors and we do not silently clean them up.
